Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi and other senior members of the ruling party have been detailed during an early morning raid.

The raid comes after days of escalating tension between the civilian government and the powerful military of Myanmar.

Tensions started as a result of what the military say was a fraudulent win by Aung San Suu Kyi’s party, the National League for Democracy, in the recent November election which she won by a landslide.
