The president of the Venezuelan National Assembly has accused exiled opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez of planning to blow up the country’s parliament building.
Jorge Rodriguez, a staunch ally of President Nicolas Maduro, says Mr Lopez planned the attack with the help of former Spanish ambassador to Venezuela Jesus Silva.
Rodriguez is demanding a response from Spanish president Pedro Sanchez and the Spanish government regarding their involvement.
