The famous Skywhale hot air balloon has finally got a companion as the pair fly over Canberra.
Artist Patricia Piccinini has unveiled the seven-storey tall sculpture, titled Skywhalepapa, as part of her piece for the National Gallery of Australia.
Piccinini says the 10-breasted Skywhale and the Skywhalepapa, which is composed of some 3.6km of fabric, conveys the concepts of nurturing, caring, nature and evolution.
