Respect Victoria has released a new report which has revealed the discrimination and inequalities faced by LGBTIQ+ Australians were grossly inflated during the pandemic.
Young people have had to move back home as a result of COVID -19 and consequently some had to go back into the closet, according to General Manager at the Centre for Family Research and Evaluation, Beth McCann.
According to Respect Victoria CEO, Tracey Gaudry, family violence has increased as a result of impacts during COVID-19. Having to hide their sexuality and being locked off from their networks of support has resulted in extreme social isolation of teens.
