A radio broadcaster in China has been arrested under a colonial era sedition law, making him the second journalist arrested under the law in the last 6 months.

Wan Yiu-sing, who goes by the name of "Giggs", hosted programmes discussing anti-government demonstrations and had previously advertised for donations to support young people from Hong Kong who have fled to Taiwan.

According to police, Wan was arrested on a charge of seditious intent, a law that dates back to the mid-nineteenth century, however they did not disclose what had been said or what he did.
