A new planning team set up by the Queensland State Government to ensure new developments between Tweed Heads and Noosa can manage the surge of new residents will be announced by Deputy Premier Steven Miles today.

Mr Miles says, from 2019 to 2020, there has been a 200 per cent increase in net migration from cities to regional areas. There has also been a 23 per cent increase in the use of our national parks and green spaces which must result in a fundamental rethink of the approach to infrastructure planning and delivery.
