Health Minister, Greg Hunt says he extends the Human Biosecurity Emergency Period which restricts travellers from entering Australia, until 17 June.
Currently, about 40,000 Australians stranded overseas, must comply with a mandatory 14-day hotel quarantine at their own expense before the entry.
