Australian chocolate ‘Mars’ manufacture has begun offsetting 100 per cent of its power consumption.
The manufacturer has partnered up with a regional solar farm in Victoria to put green energy on the grid.
Climate council researcher Tim Baxter said the power purchase agreement is a win-win for businesses and climate.
The researcher said, "By helping new renewable energy projects across the line, companies entering into PPAs are driving down electricity sector emissions."
