The Northern Territory Government claims more young people will be refused bail under proposed youth bail reforms.
The proposed changes would see bail automatically be revoked by serious breaches, such as reoffending on bail or a breach of curfew.
Amnesty International Australia described the proposal as a "callous, racist legislative crackdown," because it disproportionately impacts Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth.
