Satellite imagery have revealed visible pollution caused by the cargo ship Ever Given’s blocking of the Suez canal.
The ship leak caused a spike in sulphur dioxide levels which is known to have detrimental effects on human health and the environment.
The Ever Given was jammed in the Suez canal in the Mediterannian Sea, a high-traffic shipping route, for six days before it was dislodged on March 29.
