One of the two travellers from Papua New Guinea who unknowingly breached restrictions in the Brisbane International Airport has tested positive to COVID-19.
A Brisbane Airport Corporation spokesperson says the pair were let into the wrong area of the airport as a result of human error and stayed in the area for an hour and a half.
Three flights to New Zealand departed in the time the infected traveller was in the departures zone.
