The Victorian Health Department is urging 246 people in Melbourne to get COVID tested, after ‘strong and unexpected’ COVID fragments were found in the wastewater.
This discovery comes in conjunction with the identification of a positive case flown in from Perth.
The fragments were initially found in the northern and western suburbs, but have recently been found in other catchments in the eastern, western, north-western and outer northern suburbs.
