Thousands of people gathered in Brisbane’s CBD yesterday for the largest Labour Day rally in the country, with issues such as workplace safety and sexual harassment at the top of the agenda.

Federal Labor leader Anthony Albanese and Deputy Premier Steven Miles led the crowd through the streets and used the opportunity to call out Prime Minister Scott Morrison on his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, his treatment of women and economic stagnation.

Other Labour Day rallies took place across Australia as well, with Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk attending a march in the rural town of Barcaldine.
