107 endangered loggerhead turtle hatchlings have been released into the ocean after they were rescued from the beach at Fingal Heads in northern New south wales.
Turtle Watch project officer Holly West said the eggs were laid late in the season, which meant they were at risk of dying due to low sand temperatures.
The eggs were incubated and hatched a few weeks later with a 97 percent success rate.
