Fiame Naomi Mata’afa is set to become Samoa's first female Prime minister after a Samoan supreme court ruling.
Ms Mata'afa will become the second female head of government in the Pacific after Hilda Heine became President of the Marshall Islands in 2016.
New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said it "feels significant" for the region.
