A gay rights group is warning of increasing homophobia in Spain. 

Five gay men were targeted in three separate attacks in Barcelona over the weekend. 

The city council head of citizenship rights Marc Serra Solé says every effort will be made to avoid normalising the situation of ongoing homophobia in the country.

The Observatory against Homophobia has registered 76 such attacks in Catalonia so far this year.
