Byron Bay’s housing shortage crisis saw the reopening of a drop-in center for those facing homelessness in the region.
After being closed for 5 years, the council-owned building will reopen as the median rental prices in the area increase by 66%.
The Fletcher Street community center will include mental health services, shower and washing facilities for those unable to secure housing in the coastal town which remains a popular destination for many tourists around the world.
