A needle-free COVID-19 vaccination has passed pre-clinical trials, with the possibility of a patch that could roll out in future waves of coronavirus vaccination.

University of Queensland scientists successfully protected mice from the virus by administering a US-developed vaccine candidate with a patch.

Dr. David Muller from UQs school of chemistry and molecular bioscience said “the UQ team, together with Vaxxas, hope to take the technology to the world and are looking for funding opportunities to accelerate clinical trials.”
