Member for Logan, Linus Power, voiced concerns over Queensland’s voluntary assisted dying (VAD) laws.
Under the proposed laws, a person must have decision-making capacity, be acting voluntarily, and have an eligible condition that is expected to cause death within 12 months.
Mr Power spoke out against a motion that urged Labor members to vote in favor of the legislation, encouraging people to “listen, share and respect the concerns” of opposing voices.
