The deaths of a muslim family of 4 in London, Ontario is being reported as an act of terror by Canadian police after a vehicle mounted the curb and struck the pedestrians on Sunday.
The victims were 2 women, a man and a 15 year old girl, the only survivor being a 9 year old boy who is in hospital with serious injuries. A 20 year old Canadian man has been charged with 4 counts of murder and 1 count of attempted murder.
Detective Superintendent Paul Waight told a news conference that he believed the victims were targeted because they were muslim. Investigations determine the perpetrator acted alone and was not connected to any other terrorist groups.
