SE QLD to feel the cold

An extreme cold snap will hit the South East later this week, with snow and frost predicted in areas as far as the tropics for the first time in 6 years.

The Bureau of Meteorology's Matt Marshall said, “a renewed pulse of cool air will drop temperatures to 4 to 8 degrees below average from Wednesday.”

The cold snap comes after Victoria and New South Wales have seen big dumps of snow and the weather system travels north.
