An empty Bunnings warehouse in Lake Macquarie will be transformed into a mass vaccination centre for the northern regional NSW area.
The Belmont facility is capable of vaccinating 20,000 doses per week, far larger than Sydney’s Olympic Park Homebush centre which can vaccinate up to 5,000 doses per week.
It is expected to open in mid July and will staff over 100 nurses.
