Indian businesses and shops are gradually reopening in the nation’s 2 large cities, Delhi and New Delhi. Businesses have resumed operations under limited hours and at 50% capacity.

COVID infections have been slowly declining in the country, with New Delhi’s chief minister Arvind Kejriwal stating the economy must be rejuvenated as the country’s COVID situation slowly gets under control. 

However, health experts fear the restrictions are being eased off too soon as the virus is spreading rapidly in rural areas.
