Queenslanders lost more than $32 million dollars to scams conducted during the 2020 global pandemic according to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
In its Targeting Scams Report, the ACCC found those falling victim to the scams lost around $8,000 dollars on average and had the highest average losses nationally.
