A tent city has been situated in Townsville ahead of tonight's State of Origin game. The tent city, or otherwise referred to as this week's Footy Basecamp has the capacity of accomodating up to 200 people.
The creation of the footy base camp comes after it was deemed to be a creative and short term solution to the city's severe accommodation shortages, as thousands of fans travel to the region for a sold-out State of Origin clash
