Greens MP for South Brisbane Amy McMahon is holding an Olympic Forum to evaluate community opinions about the proposed bid to host the 2032 Olympics.

Following the verdict that the International Olympic Committee has confirmed Brisbane as the preferred host city, it has become apparent the Queensland government has had minimal discussions with the public over the effects of the bidding processes for local residents.

Concerns raised include accelerated gentrification, rise in rates and rent, increased traffic congestion and numerous construction.

The community discussion will be held on the 10th of July at the Metro Community Hub in Woolloongabba.
