The Yuggera Ugarapul land defenders will stage a protest today from 12:45pm at Frasers Property Brisbane office to prevent planned developments and to return land to its rightful owners.
Frasers Property is one of three developers who are planning to develop the land around Deebing Creek despite strong opposition from the Yuggera Ugarapul traditional owners for whom Elders and supporters have camped there to resist the development for several years.
The area is a burial site for Aboriginal people, as well as providing Elders with a permanent base from which to continue practicing their culture.
