The Queesland government says an immediate lockdown is off the cards, after the state reported one new local coronavirus case today, the husband of a COVID19 positive woman who travelled from Melbourne.

The couple is believed to be at the end of their infectious period, easing some concerns raised yesterday about the potential for the virus to spread in Queensland.

Queensland Health Minister Yvette D'Ath said authorities won't be locking down hospitals, residential or aged care centres after the new cases, but are urging Sunshine Coast residents to get tested if they have been to exposure sites.
