United States President, Joe Biden, said the US will donate 500 million doses of the Covid-19 Pfizer vaccine around the world in an attempt to speed up the end of the pandemic.
The announcement came before the G7 summit, which is due to be held in the United Kingdom.
Biden has denied speculation there are strings attached to the donations, saying it is the responsibility of the wealthy countries to vaccinate the world and that this is in every country’s best interest.
