Queensland Premier, Annastasia Palaszczuk has announced border closures will commence this Thursday at 1am for some areas in New South Wales.
Sydney, Bayside, Woollahra, Canada Bay, Inner West and Randwick council areas will all be barred from entry to Queensland, with local residents returning from those areas to be put into hotel quarantine. returning from those areas to be put into hotel quarantine.
The restrictions come after NSW recorded a cluster of cases with the highly infectious delta strain.
