France's far-right National Rally (RN) fails to win their first ever region, as results from the second round of regional elections come in. The election also recorded low turnout of less than 30%.
The winners are the mainstream right whose candidates held on easily to the regions they already controlled. One of them, the former minister Xavier Bertrand, is now openly a candidate for the presidency next year.
