Brisbane has been listed by the RACQ’s monthly Fuel Price Report as the most expensive Capital City with the average cost of Unleaded being 173 cents per litre.

RACQ also announced that prices are expected to rise to “record-breaking levels”, despite a fall in international oil prices.

A Spokeswoman from the RACQ has said the high prices come down to a lack of competition toward the major fuel stations and that Brisbane has a weak independent fuel market.
