Demand for native bush food is rising, but very few indigenous people are involved in the industry.

In 2018, less than one percent of bush food sector workers were first nations people.

Industry leader Rebecca Barnes believes that number is now approaching 10 percent, but that racism is still causing pushback surrounding the bush food industry.
