Artist Maree Clarke’s exhibition ‘Ancestral Memories’ is the first solo show by a living Victorian Indigenous artist to be featured in the National Gallery of Victoria.

Walking through the gallery, viewers encounter the full diversity of Maree’s work, spanning more than 30 years and covering a complex range of mediums including photographs, video, 3D printing, lenticular light boxes and photographic holograms.

Free to the public, ‘Ancestral Memories’ will be showcased in Melbourne until October 3rd and her work is also be part of the National 2021: New Australian Art at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney until August 22nd.
