After 6 years of planning from the Queensland Government, it was announced last night by the international Olympic Committee that Brisbane will be the host city of the 2032 olympic games.

Brisbane will be the smallest populated city to host the games since Helinski in 1954 but IOC president says it was Australia’s passion and love for the sport that really brought the bid over the edge.

Other factors that had been considered in the decision have been the Olympics “New Norm” efforts to help sustain the games which were met with precision by the sunshine state.

Premier Annastacia Palaszcuk said the project will bring forth a golden age in Queensland.
