Newmarket Gardens, Brisbane's last inner-city caravan park will be shutting its doors in August after 64 years of operating just outside the CBD.
Owner of the popular tourist destination Robyn Wright said, “we're getting a lot of messages from people who came here on holidays when they were growing up and that the outpouring of support from the Newmarket Community has been truly touching”.
Over the years, the holiday location has played host to thousands of visitors who arrive promptly in time for the Ekka festival.
This year will be no different despite it being Newmarket Gardens last.
