The construction industry has warned of catastrophic consequences if the current 2 week shutdown of building sites is extended by the NSW lockdown.

Australian Constructors Association CEO Jon Davies said it is likely that "a high number of companies would fold".

With lockdown fatigue setting in, the industry is making a push to get 200,000 employed construction workers in Greater Sydney back to work though the introduction of daily COVID-19 rapid antigen tests on building sites.
