South Brisbane MP Amy McMahon called on the state government to involve the Brisbane community in planning for the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games.
Among other requests, Ms McMahon asked the government to protect heritage sites, invest in public transport, and introduce rent caps.
Ms McMahon also asked the state premier to commit to a housing solution for people sleeping rough in Brisbane, rather than using the ‘move-on’ tactics seen during the Commonwealth Games and G20.
