Queensland towns hit record low temperatures.

Parts of Queensland woke up to the coldest July morning in seventeen years on Thursday.

In Roma, Applethorpe and the Granite Belt regions it reportedly reached -4 degrees celsius, while near Toowoomba in the Town of Oakey they reportedly reached -4.4 degrees celsius. 

And further down south in Perisher, the country’s lowest temperature was recorded at -9.3 degrees celsius.
