Over 200,000 Queenslanders are on a waitlist to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine, with estimation times showing that most won’t receive an invitation to book their appointments until October.

Queensland Health Minister, Yvette D'ath, announced Queensland would receive 84’000 doses of Pfizer in each week of August and 150’000 Astrazeneca doses.

D’ath said that she would like to bring that whole supply forward, which would mean Queensland vaccination clinics would be able to ramp up the doses that they are administering every single day”.
