The rise in domestic violence incidents in Queensland has seen police spending 40% of their time attending to these calls.

Across the state, this averages to 295 incidents daily.

While this growth in calls is partly due to a growth of domestic and family violence incidents, particularly during the ongoing circumstances of the pandemic, there is also greater community confidence in policing response, meaning action is taken sooner.
