Tensions are rising between an anti-capitalist community garden and the proposed development next door in Highgate Hill.
Growing Forward gardeners say a sewer line for the Highgate Hill residences development would run through the community garden, which sits on disused land owned by the state government.
The activists declined offers from developers, ‘Bluebird’, to fund the rebuilding of the garden once construction is over.
