Work has begun on a major $1.4m expansion of Brisbane’s Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.
This expansion, which will create new tourist attractions, has come as a part of the Palaszczuk Government’s Covid-19 Economic Recovery Plan.
Before the pandemic, 70% of the sanctuary’s visitors were from overseas or interstate, and improving the visitor experience will help the sanctuary prepare for when the borders open again.
