A peaceful march was held at Bunyapa Park on Saturday to protest a development proposal that would affect a West End community garden and demolish the adjoining housing.
Councillor for the Gabba Ward Jonathan Sri attended the rally in support of the group and said the development would contribute to more people becoming homeless.
Bluebird Property co-founder and partner Riye Arai-Coupe says she has assured the community group that any impact to the garden caused by upgrading an existing sewer line during the development would be repaired or reinstated.
