North Korea is claiming it has carried out more long-range cruise missile tests over the weekend amid a standoff with the United States over denuclearisation.

According to a media outlet KCNA, the missiles flew 1500km before hitting their targets and falling into the water.

The state outlet believes “strategic significance of possessing another effective deterrence means for more reliably guaranteeing the security of our state and strongly containing the military manoeuvres of the hostile forces”.
