A UK trial hopes to detect over 50 types of cancer early through just a blood test.

The new National Health Service trial will see one hundred and forty thousand UK volunteers of different backgrounds and ethnicities aged between 50-77, take part.

NHS chief executive Amanda Pritchard says this test could play a major part in the NHS’s goal of catching 75% percent of cancers at an early stage. Ms Pritchard said, “this quick and simple blood test could mark the beginning of a revolution in cancer detection and treatment."
