One of Brisbane's oldest homes might be up for a facelift.

The 175 year old Newstead House, informally known as “Brisbane’s first party house”, is the city’s oldest European building, heritage listed in 1992.

The house’s long-serving program manager, Jen Garcia, is asking the board of trustees to renovate the property into one which combines history with the modern world,  in order to re-establish its relevance.
