Police have reported a new scam involving fake Australian Federal Police (AFP) representatives targeting vulnerable members of the community.
The scammers have falsely identified themselves as Federal Agents via phone calls and text messaging, telling victims there is suspicious activity linked to their bank accounts.
Scamwatch have warned the Brisbane public to be wary of any phone calls in which the caller requests personal details such as Medicare numbers, addresses, and bank details.
