Local anti-capitalist community garden group, Growing Forward staged a protest yesterday afternoon outside the offices of developing company, Bluebird.
Gardeners affiliated with the group dumped compost outside the development company’s office in protest of recent plans to cut through the garden beds to build luxury apartment buildings next door.
In a press release, the group said they are opposed to the development of these apartments because it will evict working people from affordable housing and wreck the gardens.
