The NRL has said that the Grand Final will go ahead at Lang Park in Brisbane this Sunday, even if the venue has to be reduced to 50% capacity.
There is still however a possibility that the event could be moved to Townsville if a lockdown is imposed in South East Queensland following recent COVID cases.
NRL Boss Andrew Abdo said the NRL was watching the situation "on an hourly basis" and would "react accordingly" to any changes imposed by the developing COVID outbreak.
